I am pleased to welcome you to the website of the Institute of Topographic Sciences (ITS) of the National Survey Authority (NSA) in the Ministry of Defence (MOD) in the Sultanate of Oman hoping you find its content useful and helpful. In ITS, we consider students the focus of the educational process and we strive to provide them with specialist skills in Geospatial Sciences, develop their knowledge and skills in Surveying …

    • The Survey and Geomatics engineering diploma course was a chance to learn more about the science of Surveying and Mapping, so that what we learned directly touches our needs at work.

Comprehensive session is an opportunity to develop skills and acquire sufficient knowledge about how to deal with hardware, software and spatial computer applications on Geomatics.

I aspire to raise the Institute to provide advanced degrees such as Bachelor until I have another chance to continue my studies at the same Institute.

    • During the study of the Survey and Geomatics engineering diploma course in the Institute of Topographic Sciences (ITS) you can learn a lot of things like reading a map and the stages of map production. You can also acquaint yourself with various survey devices, remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS).

The teamwork provides a productive study atmosphere where the field work with other students presents you the opportunity to learn how to deal with the exact survey instruments.

Graduation project has provided us with an opportunity to learn how to collect, analyze data, develop and view results in writing and orally.

    • I feel proud to be a student in the Institute of Topographic Sciences (ITS) and an alumni who earned the opportunity to obtain the Survey and Geomatics engineering diploma. It was a big advantage for me to master the use of survey instruments which dramatically increases my confidence in myself and my potentials.

I like dealing with a qualified staff of lecturers who are able to communicate information to the student in easy and accessible methods.

    • The Survey and Geomatics engineering diploma course is one of the most important in scientific and practical courses and is represents the beginning of our path towards specialization in Survey.

This is a rare specialization conducted by the Institute of Topographic Sciences (ITS) and we had the opportunity to take advantage of purely thematic topics which comprises the course program.
